National Park Board tasks.
The National Park Board implements annual measures such as management, information and facilitation. The Board’s secretariat consists of a National Park Manager with office at the National Park visitor center in Reine.
The National Park Board cooperates closely with the Norwegian Nature Inspectorate (SNO), which conducts supervision and control in the protected areas.


Norwegian Nature Inspectorate
The Norwegian Nature Inspectorate (SNO) works as rangers in the National Park, both on private and public land.
The task of the SNO is to conduct inspections pursuant to the Act on State Nature Supervision. The purpose is to safeguard national environmental values and prevent environmental crime. The rangers carries out management, registration and facilitation tasks, and also works with information and nature guidance.
